Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support an Individual who lives in Englewood Cliffs, NJ
An Individual who lives with his family in Englewood Cliffs is looking for a good-natured companion Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist them with getting ready for their days in the morning and spending time with him in the evenings. The ideal Direct Support Professional (DSP) personality traits; patience, understanding, a positive disposition, light-hearted, kind, and easy-going.
This person is looking for a great Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist them in getting ready for their day program in the mornings. These duties include but are not limited to:
- Assistance with getting dressed
- Helping him with breakfast if they haven't already eaten already
- Transporting them to the day program in Mahwah, NJ.
In the afternoon, this person is looking for his Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support them with the following that include but are not limited to:
- Getting picked up at 3:00 pm and transporting them home from their day program in Mahwah, NJ.
- Spending time with them at their house. He enjoys watching TV, swimming in his pool, listening to music.
- Assisting them in their evening daily living skills which is helping them get ready for the evening, providing him an evening snack.
Schedule of Services:
35 hours - Monday through Friday
Mornings: 7 am- 9 am
Afternoon/ Evenings: 3 pm- 8 pm.
Qualifications:
Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description
Must be person centered minded
Staff need to be open minded and come with a positive attitude
Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label
Must be 18 years old or older
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a car
Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
Must be willing to have a background check
Must be be willing to take a drug screening
Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
